Harry Potter Decorations

1. Neville’s remembrall bauble

For this DIY you need:

A clear bauble

Sheer Red Ribbon

Black and Gold Ribbon (or just black)

Glue Gun

Ok so first take the cap off the bauble. Then put the ribbon into your bauble and put the cap back on. Put a strip of glue along your ribbon. Wrap it around the diameter of the bauble and you’re done! Instead of ribbon you could use gold tape if you wanthink πŸ™‚

(I got this image from Pinterest)

2. Golden Snitch Bauble

For this DIY you need:

A mini gold bauble

2 feathers (either gold, yellow or white)

Gold and bronze Paint

Gold Glitter

Pva Glue and a glue gun

Start with your feathers. If they aren’t already, paint them gold. Wait for them to dry then dip the ends in Pva glue. Then dip the glue covered bits in your gold Glitter. That’s it for the wings. Take your plain gold bauble and add a design onto it with your bronze paint. Once it has dried attach your wings with hot glue.

See the original tutorial (and the place where I got the picture from) HERE

Disney Decorations

1. Mickey Mouse Bauble

For this DIY you will need:

A red bauble

Black Paint

2 mini Styrofoam balls

Hot Glue Gun

White Buttons

Take your bauble and put a long strip of tape all around the diameter. Paint the section above the tape black. Once the paint has dried peel the tape off. Next, paint your styrofoam balls black and let them dry. When they have dried glue them onto the black part of the bauble. To finish it off, add two white buttons to the red part of the bauble.

2. Pixie Dust Bauble

For this DIY you need:

Fine blue glitter

A clear bauble

A silver or white permanent marker

All you need to do is unscrew the cap on the bauble and use a paper funnel to pour in your glitter. On the front of the bauble write ‘Pixie Dust’. Alternatively you could draw the Disney castle onto the front!

Alice in Wonderland Decorations

1. Queen of Hearts Wreath

For this DIY you need:

A plain fake wreath

Playing Cards

Fake red roses

Fake cream (or white) roses

Red Paint

A large paintbrush

A glue gun

Start with the cream roses. Using the paintbrush, splatter the red paint onto each of the cream roses. Now put these, along with the red roses, to one side. Take the paintbrush and dip it into the red paint and set that aside to dry. Get your wreath and place about 4 cards on each compass point (so North, South, East and West). You could even put them in between each of the 4 cards (North East, South East, North West and South West). Now take your roses and slide them into your wreath. Finally add your paint brush to the wreath. Make sure to hot glue everything to the wreath so everything will stay in the same place.

2. Drink Me Potion Bottle Bauble

For this DIY you need:

A small glass bottle

A small cork

A screw in eye hook

A black pen

A label / Gift tag

Hot glue

Pour your glitter into your glass bottle. Take the eye hook and press it into the cork. Put some hot glue into the neck of the bottle and press in the cork. Add more hot glue around the bottom of the cork for extra security. Slide some ribbon through the eyes hook and tie the two ends of the ribbon together. Then write ‘drink me’ on the label and tie it to the neck of the bottle.

I found this picture HERE. Please note that this picture is only temporary and I will be posting my own picture of this DIY in the near future.

Marvel Decorations

1. Comic book Bauble

For this DIY you need:

A bauble (any colour)

And old comic book

Mod Podge  (or PVA Glue)

Take your comic book and cut out bits from each page. You could cut out speach or word bubbles or characters it’s up to you! (I would suggest cutting out some big peices then some smaller ones) Cover your bauble in a layer of Mod Podge and stick on your first layer of comic book. Keep going until the entire bauble is covered. Then once the first layer has dried put another coat of midge podge ontop and then add a few more bits of comic book. Finish with a layer of mod podge. If you don’t want you do it with a comic book you could use an old book, a map anything you want really!

2. Superhero Bauble

For this DIY you need:

A clear bauble

Red, white and blue paint (optional)

Silver glitter

PVA Glue

Firstly, take the cap off your bauble. Then pour in a little bit of glue. Gently roll the bauble so the glue covers the inside of the bauble. Whilst the glue is still wet pour in the glitter. You can use whatever colour to match your superhero  (i.e Captain America – Silver, The Hulk – Green). For the next step you can either print out a superhero symbol and stick it on or paint on one.

Blogmas Day 20!

Not long left until Christmas! Yayy! Today’s Festive song is:

Jingle Bell Rock – Bobby Helms

At this time of year hot drinks are lovely, especially in the evening. So today I’m going to share with you my 3 favourite hot chocolate recipes!

1. Chocolate Orange Hot ChocolateΒ

You could just buy hot chocolate powder and add the other ingredients if you want but for all these recipes I’m going to be making my hot chocolate from scratch. Ok the first thing you need to do is simmer 600ml of milk in a pan. You can just eyeball it if you want. Now take a bar of either dark or milk chocolate and break it in half. Melt half of the bar and add it to the milk. Next, add in the zest of half an orange and a tablespoon of orange juice. Next add 150ml of cream. Stir well. If the drink isn’t chocolatey enough then you can add the rest of your chocolate. You could even add some chocolate orange slices!

2.Β  Peppermint Hot Chocolate

Start by simmering 600ml in a pan. Add 150ml of cream and mix. Then melt a bar of white chocolate and add this to the milk and cream. Next add a few drops of peppermint extract to the drink. Add about a tsp of sugar and mix well. Serve with whipped cream and a candy cane. If you want you could even put some candy canes in a food processor and sprinkle your candy cane powder onto your whipped cream/ add it to your drink!

3, Nutella and Peanut Butter Hot Chocolate

Bit of a weird one but never mind, I love it πŸ™‚ In a pan simmer 700ml of milk. Add 50 ml of cream, 2 tablespoons of Nutella and half a tablespoon of smooth peanut butter. Bring the mixture to a boil and stir well to get rid of any lumps. Serve with whipped cream and a drizzle of Nutella.

Blogmas Day 18! πŸŽ…πŸŽπŸŽ„

Bonjour my little Elves!

Ahhhh! I can’t believe it’s only a week til Christmas! To get you in the mood, today’so Festive song is:

I’ll be home for Christmas – Pentatonix

If you want to show your Festive spirit but can’t decide what to wear with a Christmas Jumper, then I’ve got you covered! Here are 3 ways to style a Christmas Jumper!

Style 1

Start with your Christmas jumper and add some comfy jeans. You could go for mom jeans or skinny jeans or whatever you want! I would personally go for some dark wash skinny jeans. Add some cute boots (Timberlands, High Top Convers or Doc Martins look great) and a over the shoulder purse and you’re done! Wait, I almost forgot! Under the jumper put on a white collared shirt! Ok now we’re done!

Style 2

Throw on a black skirt and any t-shirt you want. Add your Christmas Jumper and a cute pair of tights. Slip on some heeled boots and some gold jewellery and you’re done!

Style 3

Ok so this is more of a chill out comfy outfit. First you need an oversized christmas jumper. Add either some nice cropped sweats or leggings. Throw on some comfy shoes (if you’re staying at home then throw on your slippers or some fluffy socks (aka the best invention EVER) or if you’re going out somewhere then chuck on some sneakers).

Thankyou so much for reading! I’m sorry that the post was up SUPER late today but I’ve been quite busy πŸ™‚

Ciao for now!
